Childminders & shingles

I'm hoping it's just a reaction to an insect bite, but I got up this morning with a rash on my side that looks like it might be developing into shingles. I've been checking the guidelines & it looks like I can work as long as it's covered and I feel ok, but anyone on here had it & if so did you close? I've got 6 lo's aged 16 months to 4.

I had shingles while pg and working in a childrens' centre. I continued to work. You should avoid being in contact with pregnant women and anyone with a compromised immune system. The children can catch chicken pox by touching the rash, so just keep it covered at all times (not too difficult if it's on your side). It might be worth letting the parents know though.
