Can anyone tell me what's involved on the 3 day Local Authority approved Childminding Registration Course for childminders?

Hi All, As the title says, is anyone able to tell me what is involved on the 3 day Local Authority approved Childminding Registration Course for those wishing to set up a childminder? Any advice appreciated :-)

That may be unique to your local authority.
It does not sound long enough to be the childminder training course, though it may be. At a guess it is some kind of introduction to find out if people are serious about starting their own business.

It may cover things you need to do to become registered, talk about doing accounts and working out your anticipated costs. It may then go on to include safe guarding training, first aid perhaps, or it will point to course providers for that, and course provider for CYPOP5, if the introductory training given is not sufficient for registration.

Maybe if you said with LA area you are in, someone from that area may post on here and know what the course is. Though that may be info you don't want being public.
