I've only done it once, and it was only because the parent concerend arrived early (for once). She was due to arrive at 7.30, but invariably turned up at 7.45, however on the day in question she turned up at 7.15! I was still in shower, and the kids let her in

I've done it once - was in the shower and children let mindee in. I rang later to apologise but the parents just thought it was funny. Still mortifying though.

It's happened to me twice

Once I was ironing my clothes for the day still in my pjs but they were 10 mins early and the other time I was actually in bed as they arrived 45 mins early!!!

I must admit though most mornings when they turn up my dd is still in bed or downstairs with her pjs on and I have to try and settle them and then sort her out.

I had this last week. 4 poorly kids and baby screaming most of the week (shouldn't have been with me). On the Thursday, I woke up to a loud knock at the door. It was 6.55am and she was due at 6.45 . I was so apologetic and she just laughed. Think she felt bad as it was mainly her baby that has exhausted me and made me oversleep for the first time. Still at myself! Didn't help that ds usually wakes me up at 6am but he's started to sleep in a little longer (lovely at the weekend but not good as he was my alarm clock )

I have only ever slept in once (in 12 years!!) and it was only a few months ago. My mindees were two schoolchildren, who arrived at the allotted time, and they and their mum thought it was just hilarious that I came down looking like a dog's dinner. They remind me (and tell anyone else in the vicinity) constantly!!

it must be in the air
alarm went off at 7am and i knew first child was only arriving at 8am so with a cuddled up in bed and listened to the radio
doorbell woke me at 8.10 aswel as phone ringing jumped out of bed and grabbed dressing gown
washed hair last night but didnt brush it just fell asleep so it looked like a haystack this morning (very beautiful)
parent didnt mind she was running late too
