Recommend the Aktiva Holiday clubs?

Hi everyone,

I've got 4.5 year old twins and this coming half term will the first time I've had to use a holiday club whilst I work. I've found a local one called Aktiva (in Little Ealing school in West London), which takes them all day & costs £135 per week. This seems pretty reasonable but before I sign them up, I wanted to see if anyone has any experience of them??

Thanks in advance!

My DC's have been to Aktiva at Mount Carmel School (directly next door to Little Ealing), they use the same staff and sometimes combine both groups if they don't have enough children.

It's well run, the staff are really friendly and they're very security conscious, sign everyone in/out, gates locked etc.

The DC's didn't mind it, but they didn't love it either. The activities on offer were quite limited, basically colouring in or one sport seemed to be the options. They do have toys and stuff to play with, but my DC's attend the school so they play in the playground/with the toys during term time!

They've also been to Fit for Sport (which I think is slightly cheaper), this also runs in schools in West London (I think Montpelier, North Ealing Primary and maybe at Twyfords). This they enjoyed much more and came out full of excitement at what they'd been doing. However, it didn't seem to be as well organised. It appeared to be run by teenage boys who didn't bother keeping track of who was where, gates were open etc. No-one greeted us in the morning, they didn't take an emergency contact number or anything...

That's really useful, thank so much!
