Holiday Babysitters?

Going off to Florida for a couple of weeks, staying in Disney at the Animal Kingdom lodge.

The hotel offers in room babysitting and I must say I am tempted, as it would be great for me and DH to have some quiet meals together, or with DS1 who is 4.

DS2 is very restless, does not like restaurants ( hes only 8 months!) and we would rarely get to eat a meal in peace, never mind quiet time.

One part of me says I cant leave DS2 with a total stranger, and the other says well the baby sitters will be vetted by disney, and he will most likely be asleep anyway.

Does anyone have any experiance of in hotel baby sitting? Or even specifically disneys animal kingdom lodge?

What is everyones thoughts on this? would you leave your child with a sitter in above circumstances?
Thanks

you'll probably get a better response in the travel thread - stick disney in the title aswell.

i babysit in a uk (5*) hotel and that hotel get the babysitters from various nanny/babysitting agencies.

We are are crb checked and have first aid.

The yougest i have looked after has been a 10 day old and the oldest so far has been 12 years old.

As long as you are happy and the children have been left in the past with babysitters they don't know, i can't see it being a problem

we have always used hotel babysitters for 1 or 2 nights on holidays ( as varied locations as centreparcs to disney to HK ) and always been pleased. i ask hotel about vetting arrangements first but a big coperation like disney isn't gogin to take a chance on having its reputation damaged by bad baysitters? we used the service at disneys port orleans hotel in florida and the babysitter was better qualified than our nanny!
