Going off to Florida for a couple of weeks, staying in Disney at the Animal Kingdom lodge.

The hotel offers in room babysitting and I must say I am tempted, as it would be great for me and DH to have some quiet meals together, or with DS1 who is 4.

DS2 is very restless, does not like restaurants ( hes only 8 months!) and we would rarely get to eat a meal in peace, never mind quiet time.

One part of me says I cant leave DS2 with a total stranger, and the other says well the baby sitters will be vetted by disney, and he will most likely be asleep anyway.

Does anyone have any experiance of in hotel baby sitting? Or even specifically disneys animal kingdom lodge?

What is everyones thoughts on this? would you leave your child with a sitter in above circumstances?
Thanks

i used to babysit for an english 5* hotel.

The nannies were all checked through a nanny agency before we were allowed any where near a child!

I would hope the same applies - especially in such a child friendly place like disney

i have a friend who worked in disney land paris. she worked in one of the shops and she had to have so many checks and refrences done on her, mostly relating to child protection. i would imagine that flordia would be the same. if your that worried, speak to your travel provider or the hotel and find out. i'm sure they would be happy to answer all your questions.
