CM club - Back-up childminders...what do you do if they are full?

I'm a CM and have one CM friend as a back-up if I am not available. She is now full, three days a week so what should I suggest to my parents when I'm not available?

There are plenty of cms in the area but none that I know well enough that I would want to recommend.

My parents would have to make their own arrangements in these circumstances. I would maybe explain that I can pass the details of other childminders to them, but don't know the cm personally. Do the families you mind for have family nearby who could help them out in an emergency or a family friend who could do it as a one off?

I have four backups and sometimes they are all full. I do explain that when I take on new children and tell parents that they will occasionally have to make their own arrangements, sometimes at short notice (ie if one of my own children is sick or if I'm sick with stomach bug for example). Do you have a policy about it?

I'm the same, I have 3-4 I can use but obviously they may not have space, in which case parents have to make their own arrangements. I make this clear at interview.
