i currently have 17 children on my books and have been childminding for some time now but during the day mon/fri i have one 2yr old girl and on tue/wed/thurs i have one 1yr old boy.
In september i have a baby of 9 months booked in so we are doing pre-visits each week from today. the trouble is the 1yr old boy has been used to me on his own for 7 mths and doesnt like toddler groups etc and today he has scremed all afternoon, i know its just noise as when the baby went to sleep he was fine but his screming is making the baby screm and i feel like screming, what do you all suggest?
i cant ingrone it as he is so loud and i feel mean putting him in his cot/pram but i dont want a repeat next tuesday HELP!

Could you get him involved in an activity while the baby plays nearby so he can see he still has your attention?

could he be more active in helping the baby to play when your all together?

Story time, music time, making noise time?

i was sat on the floor with him he is only just 1 yr old so still a baby himself
anyway (hes asleep now) when mum dropped him off she said no wonder i had had a bad afternoon with him he was the same at home for her so she came equiped with pain relif for me to give him as she thinks he is getting a tooth so hopefully i will have a better afternoon next week.
thanks for the advise anyway and i will try to involve him in babys care

Grit your teeth and just think to yourself 'it will pass as he gets used to the situation'
