Planning ahead re. nanny pay. Pregnant with DC3. How much should I raise their live out nanny's hourly rate by?

Will you drop salary when oldest child goes to pre-school, school?

I would suggest pay rise in line with what you have been doing anually. A new child does not raise salary in my view, in same way child going to school does not lower it.

Eldest DC is already at school and middle child will be starting pre-school 2.5 hours a day during school term time before I would be returning to work after maternity leave.

In that case I wouldn't expect a raise when you go back. (I am a nanny)

No I wouldn't increase either, unless you're paying less than usual rate currently.

I wouldn't expect a pay rise. Nannies are payed per family not per child.

Thank you for advice. Will stick to usual annual increase then. Thanks again.

I wouldn't expect a pay rise either, I've never gotten one when I have a new charge. In fact I've never had a pay rise! However my current family did invite me to newest arrival's Christening which meant a lot to me.
