my registration certificate arrived this morning. it hasnt any mention of my husband who will be working as an assistant is that normal?but I still have no insurance as early years dept c'd up with the grant, or any books etc.

Glad you finally got your certificate. Hopefully Katymac or TP may be able to help? My dh is an assistant but only 2 cover up to 2 hrs in emergency situations so is not on the certificate.

I would get onto your early years about your grant as it took mine from Jan until March to sort it out and I pestered them.

If he is going to changeyour reg numbers while working as an assistant then he should be mentioned - if it is just for back up then he prob won't

Yes I did make it clear that in school hols I would like to take more. I have the space requirement. but that hasnt gone on my certificate.

My dh and dds are written on a separate piece of paper (still with the embossed Ofsted seal on it) and headed "Additional Conditions of Registration for Childminding."

My certificate just says, may leave children with an assistant for short periods of time with written permission from the parents.

Does not name DH, DD or DS.

Remember you will need the employers liability bit of the insurance certificate, you have to request it, although I don't pay my assitants, well, not in cash!
