I really need childcare

I do not know what to do.
I work in Tower Hamlets, my DS goes to school in Tower Hamlets.

I have found it really difficult trying to contact all the childminders on the list of registered childminders in Tower Hamlets.

I would really like someone to pick my DS up from his school and bring him back to my home area (Islington).

It is so difficult to work and make sure your child is being looked after. The school don't really provide what I need and the after school clubs they do have are not reliable enough.

Where can I look for this kind of childcare? I don't have a lot of money to pay for childcare either! Can anyone give me advice?

Maybe you should be looking for a CM in Islington as they might be more willing to do this and travel back to their home area? Are there definitely no other after school clubs in the area that might be more reliable? Could you make an arrangement with another parent in exchange for some holiday childcare? Can you talk to your employer about annualised hours, 9 day fortnights etc if they support that sort of arrangement? Sorry if you have tried all these things already...

Maybe an au pair if space? Or someone else's au pair looking for extra hours? Ie if they work 7-12 with family.
