Single-parent childminder, Dating advice needed!

I am now a single-parent and also a childminder. Is anyone else the same situation?...If you use dating websites, what do you tell people you do for a living? I am probably being a tad paranoid, but don't want to attract the wrong sort iykwim.

I think u can worry that about any prof (speaking as a nurse!). I think u do need to b honest but is there a way of being vage? Maybe just say u work in child care?

I was thinking that, just say Childcare. And don't mention childminding.

Thanks, good idea, I'll change status from self-employed to employed and put down childcare or perhaps early years. Yes definitely don't want to mention childminding...it's bad enough having to mention my own kids. The whole thing terrifies me! Never mind, I'll get used to it eventually.

Good idea re putting childcare. Just remember, you will probably go on a few weird/bad/funny story to your friends dates before meeting Mr Right. Took my best friend well over a year and we've had so much fun after a few of her
dates. But it was worth it in the long run for her!

I put childcare on mine (I'm a nanny) and I've already had a couple of odd replies, because under interests I've put that I write both sci-fi and erotica. I've had two replies saying along the lines of 'how can you work with kids and write porn'. Erm, well I keep the two separate which should be obvious! I've not had any 'dodgy' mails though, with regards to children, nothing untoward.
