Chicken wings/drumsticks with veggie rice
Kedgeree (with peas added Wink)
Pesto pasta with broccoli &/or chicken
Chicken casserole
Macaroni cheese (with obligatory peas added Grin)
Chilli con carne
Curry always goes down well & freezes (chicken / veg etc)

Risottos are popular here and easy to make, cheap too if you make them veggie. Pea and parmesan is a particular favourite.

Another big hit is either bacon/smoked mackerel/smoked salmon with pasta, creme fraiche and peas.

Kedgeree is also popular!

Cheese and potato pie was only popular with half of my kids so hasn't made an appearance again but might work for others.

Can you serve pesto? I love it but wasn't sure with it containing pine nuts.
Please tell me these are safe as it would add another dish to my list :0)

Do you have a child on roll who has allergies? If not then why would you avoid them?

cupcakeandcoffee · 18/07/2013 15:18

I wasn't sure if pine nuts were classed as 'nuts'. I do have a child with an egg and nut allergy so I have to be careful.
Are pine nuts seeds?
