Am a nanny with the family from hell at the minute!

Arrive at work this morning to be told I need to wait in until Grandma rings so she can tell me what time she's coming round. We missed our gym class & charge is climbing the walls.

I then made plans for this afternoon as hasn't heard from Grandma & need to get out the house.

Grandma then rings at 11:55 and says she'll pop in between 12noon & 5pm. I told her I was going out this afternoon as charge needed to get out the house.

Then got a mouthful of abuse and am being accused of stopping her seeing her grandchild.

Majorly fed up now!!

Aaaarg, that sounds awful.

I'd go out with charge and tell grandma with an ETA when she leaves her house.

Speak to your boss about it. You seem to have constant hassles with this family, including grandma. I thought grandma had been sorted out?

SaveWaterDrinkMalibu · 18/06/2013 19:08

Spoke to boss and she said that's just how her mum is. Annoys me

Next time granny calls say you have plans and can she call your boss to make plans.

TBH if my work granny lived round the corner she'd be like this - hence the speak to MB etc. [I have to do this when she calls wanting to know if she can buy him all the toys/speak to him] I tend to say we're busy you can chat for 2 minutes but give MB a call and she can arrange a cath up
