I have a little girl (8 years old) who comes to me every morning before school. She goes to same school as my children. This morning she told me she has been bullying by the same girls since september. She has been names calling, cornered in the toilets, the bullies try to put the other girls in her class against her...I spoke to the mum and she knew about it but though it was sorted because she didn't hear anymore about it..The thing is : the little girl told me that she couldn't talk about it to her mum because she didn't want to hear anymore about it. The little girl told me she had to keep it a secret Sad...What can I do to help her and her mum ?

I would tell her to talk to her teachers/lunchtime supervisor/TA instead. My 8 yr old had similar problems and school sorted it really well.

Two things:

ask the mum if she's aware that her daughter is being bullied but won't tell her because you "don't want to hear anymore about it" Angry. How can she have let communication break down so badly?

If you drop her off at school, I'd speak to her teacher, and ask them to raise it with mum when she collects DD.

That poor little girl.
