What should I do??

Nanny to two boys, three y/o and seven m/o. Older child was using dads iPad (with permission) and I discovered porn on it, should I tell mum?? Not sure what to do or say, awkward situation. All advice welcome :)

Can't you mention to dad that son accessed it?
If dad wants to look at porn that his business but i would just make him aware that son has seen it and that he shouldn't be allowed on it If he's got unsuitable stuff on there.

I don't see dad, he'l leaves for work well before I arrive so that's not an option. I dont think it very appropriate viewing such things knowing your child uses it also, plus the whole aspect of it makes me feel rather uncomfortable. Not sure I should say anything.

I would just say to mum or whichever parent comes home tonight, that the child was able to access some adult content/inappropriate material on the ipad and maybe they should password protect certain folders or something.

You say that the child was using the ipad and 'I discovered porn on it'. So did the child actually access it or were you looking through files on the ipad. Really I would decide if the child could actually discover it or whether your more computer literate abilities found it. As for bringing this up, I would be discrete about this as MB may not be aware of its existence on the ipad, likewise you also use the ipad when fingers start being pointed......! Does the child really need to be using the ipad at 3 years old whilst in your care as not using it would eliminate it happening under your care.
