Childminders and ex-childminders - what job are you going to do next / what job did you move on to do?

Committing to another 12 months of CM and then I need to do something else for my own sanity. (Only been registered 18 months!)

If you are a CM now and intend to move on - what do you hope to do?

If you are an ex-CM what do you do now and how does it compare?

I'm going to be an ex-CM next year.

So far my future career plans include (in no particular order) - nothing; relief milker; postman; working at a local touristy place; something vague to do with 'outside'; dog walker.

So - fluid plans really Grin

When my dc are all old enough for nursery/school I hope a job comes up at their school as nursery nurse/ta as that's the only thing that would fit with our family really plus holidays off would be ideal of course.

i'm hoping for a school job too Smile

I think a TA position is my aim too. I nearly applied for some this year, but thought I'd try another year as a CM.
Plus I didn't think I'd done enough voluntary work in school this year. And I haven't completed my level 3 yet.

If my DH said I could pack in tomorrow I would do! He's a bit of a slave driver now he's got me back working Wink

Don't get me wrong I love the kids I just hate paperwork, tax returns, the loneliness (I have no CM buddies) the invasion of the family home and Ofsted.
