Are different nanny/babysitting rates charged hourly and daily?

I currently have a lovely nanny looking after my little boy 3 mornings a week and one evening a week as we pay her an hourly rate for the 15-16 hours a week.

My husband and I are thinking of doing a weekend training course and we would need our nanny to look after our toddler for 2 full days.

Is it common practice to charge a different daily rate from your hourly rate? Or would we just pay her hourly rate for 10 hours on each day?

As this is her and our first nanny job, neither of us are any the wiser and would welcome your feedback.

Very many thanks!

You'd just pay her normal hourly rate x number of hours you need her.

Some nannies will have a weekend/unsociable hours rate that is slightly higher than normal.

Thanks for clarifying :)
