Hi all,
I'm searching for an aupair for my 2 daughters aged 2 & 6yrs.I desperately need to go back to work in June.Does anyone know of someone who would be of help! The person would need to be flexible as i mainly work at weekends. The aupair agencies charge far too much.I'm thinking about trying aupair sites but not really sure! Can anyone help?!thankyou

I've always used aupair-world.net and you will need to do lots of ground work and spend a lot of time emailing candidates. As Majorca said, if you search this topic you will see various threads in which I have stated my recruitment process.

I always go for candidates who have/are currently working in a daycare environment and therefore have a CRB check (albeit in their language) already. I never recruit without taking up references - both personal and professional.

I agree with Majorca that you may find it hard to find someone who is available weekends as they tend to meet their other AP friends then. If you need someone just for weekends, you could always advertise for a live-out Nanny/AuPair and may find nannyjob.co.uk of help. Whereabouts in NW London are you? I could ask my AP/old AP if they know of anyone - we are in the Ruislip area.
