I have had someone ask about becoming my assisstant and i kind of like the idea what is best??

To employ them as a assistant or for them to become registered and work along side me?

To employ her i would need numbers to go up, if she was a childminder in my home do i source the children and she pays me rent or do i just pay her

Sorry got loads of questions

I have an assistant, its my home my business and I ultimately make the decisions. Of course there is only 2 of us, we work together very much as a team and we are also good friends but at the end of the day its up to me. In my own home I would find it difficult having equal say, I have had another childminder want to co-mind with me but that's what puts me off, very simple things ie lets put all the kids art work up on that wall, Er no that's my wall! Not sure how that kind of thing would work. Plenty of people do successfully co-mind. I know I sound like a control freak which I'm really not!

I love working with someone, and there is no way I would go back to doing this on my own. We had a deal that I paid her a low wage to start, or I wouldn't have been able to take her on. as we got more children in I increased her wages.
