I need a bit of a rant - sorry

Spent yesterday doing my accounts as I want to send off my tax return as soon as I can.

It works out that after all expenses and stuff I was on £3.20 an hour.

I know that some of it's paper expenses, like the 10% wear and tear and the % of my bills but it's really depressed me.

I was going to take on some more mindees and go up to full time (I do 4 mornings a week at the mo') but I don't know if it's worth it.

It will be worth it because you will earn more money, but won't be spending lots more on expenses. There's a limit to how many stairgates you'll need.

The % claimed for wear and tear and bills will increase, but you won't really be paying out much more. (If you are in the house, you'll be heating it anyway, whether you have 3 mindees or 1 - hope that made sense!)

On paper, the expenses can look vast - my petrol charges always look dreadful!
