Would you use a CM/Nanny or AP with anxiety or depression issues?

That's it really?

... Why would you not?

Depends on what the "issues" are ... More info needed, OP

Well it depends on what the issues were/are, are they ongoing/recent past/distant past, would depend on whether it was an ap, childminder or nanny, age of the children, whether it effected his/her ability to do the job etc.

No I wouldn't. I've had a very bad experience with our ex nanny who had "health anxietys" it later transpired she fabricated and induced illness. It was a living nightmare.

What she said!

It would depend of course, but generally being emotionally robust/resilient and able to work with little supervision or support is part of the job description. If I'm honest, if I had a choice between someone with mental health problems or someone with robust mental health, I know who I would choose.

No, I don't think so. I'd prefer my DCs to be look after by someone cheerful and resiliant, rather than someone anxious and depressed, personally.

I'd be very sorry for someone who was struggling with such issues - but I wouldn't want to be depending on them to care for my children if they were having a bad day and not coping. Not fair on either Nanny or children, IMO.
