CRB/DBS?

Just on a website that refers to the DBS as "DBS (formerly known as the CRB)". When did this come into effect? Confused & is it supposed to say this on the CRB forms? As I just received a CRB last week and it has nothing about the DBS on it...

Are they the same thing and they've changed the background work rather than the certificate?

Yes, they merged with the Independent Safeguarding Authority on 1 December 2012 and are now known as the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Oo, so that finally went through! Thanks. Only three years after they originally told us it's be going through.

Was my crb supposed to say anything different though?
