what is the fastest way to find a childminder or nanny?

I have been just been offered a part time job. They want me to start asap. The problem is all the childminders I know are full. The other problem is I need someone who is willing to work late...I cannot get home from work before 7.30pm!

do any childminders do this? do I have to do a nanny instead?

Some childminders will work that late, but I think they're few and far between. Ring round and ask. You should be able to get a list from the council of childminders in your area.

It is worth putting your requirements on www.childcare.co.uk and looking at a lot of childminder's pages. Be honest about your timings. When people look at our profiles we receive an email alert. If any childminders aren't put off by the timings they may get in touch.
