Anti depressants - do I need to tell my employer?

My GP prescribed my Anti depressants today for my depressions and I was wondering if I need to tell my employer?

I would say no. It's not a psychosis. If you feel unwell enough to need time off then you should but otherwise I don't think it's any of their business.

I wouldn't tell your employer unless you think it will impact on your work ie I told mine as I was signed off work for 6 weeks.

As a nanny employer I would not expect my nanny to tell me. If she did, I'd be sympathetic. Sorry you are ill
