DO NUMBERS ON REG CERTIFICATE INCLUDE OWN KIDS?

Hi there, I have just registered and got my certificate yesterday (hurray!). However, it says I can have 4 under 8, of which 2 under 5, and no more than 1 under 1.

I have two kids of my own (age 7 and nearly 2). Do the figures on the certificate include your own kids?

I think the usual number is 3 under five, so 2 under 5 is the number you can take on!

no numbers on certificate do not include your own kids, so what is on your certificate is the number of children you can look after as well as yours.when you younger child reaches five they will re word your certificate and the same when you older child is eight

Yes, certificate takes into account your own children so that is the number/ages you can actually mind :)

I agree too. My cert is similar as i have 2 of my own so my cert has 4 children on it

As your own children change in age, make sure regulator (I presume Ofsted in this case) update your certificate. You may need to Remind them, as your children's birthdays come near.

Also, once your youngest child is 4 and attends 10 educational sessions, they can be classed as being 5 for ratio purposes. However, who knows if they will change the rules in the next few years or not.
