do they mix? is it easy to find a dog-loving nanny and a nanny-loving dog?

I wouldn't think it was such a problem. I think CD has a dog and a nanny. Maybe she'll be along with some good advice.

I'd love a dog. But, my Landlord won't allow it. So, can't have one. Sad

If you advertise that you have a dog then only those happy with that fact will apply.

Personally i love the children/dogs relationship and had 2 big ones at a home i worked at and it was great, walking with a dog or pram just seems to make much more sense than 1 bod out IMHO.

Im a dog loving nanny, and also 'look after' 2 nanny loving dogs...

if 'my family' go for a weekend away i even dog / house sit for "free"....

The bargain = I get to live / stay in a gorgouse house, and any days i dog sit get added to my holiday quota...
they know that their dogs are happy in their home.

During term time (when my charges are at school) if daddy is away in London i walk to dogs too,

I personally LOVE dogs and consider working in a family who has dogs a big bonus.

Unfortunately my dog was ill and had to be put down a few years ago.... but the dogs where i work are now "my special" dogs, and i love them to bits and they seem to love me too Smile

When going for walks with the children the dogs always come.... even if it means negotiating mountain buggy with kiddie board on the back, a bike for 4 year old, a dolls buggy for 3 year old, and 2 dogs on leads, they always come along too!

nannyl - I often see your posts on nanny threads. If there comes a time when you need a job and we need a nanny I would be delighted if you'd take us on...

aww thanks for that message! Smile

Hopefully i'll be in my current job for a while yet, although youngest does start full time school in September, so will have to see what happens!
