I've just waved them off in the car as they are off to the park for the afternoon!

Why do I still feel as if it's the first time I've ever been apart from them, even although they are now 6 and 7 YO and we've used nannies for years????

I could barely sleep last night I was so nervous as to whether they would like her, she would like them etc etc etc!

She's been the model nanny so far today though, wish I could say the same for the children BlushBlushBlush

They'll be fine. Hang in there. Smile

Thanks Uwilla:)

Relaxing a bit now - surfing the net, drinking tea and stuffing myself with easter eggsGrin

So, how was day 1? And are there any easter eggs left?

matnanplus · 20/04/2006 19:23

How's the week turning out soapbox?

soapbox · 20/04/2006 19:39

The week has gone quite well. The children are being cautious about whether they like her, but have been unable to find anything negative to say so far - so I'm taking that as positiveGrin

The nanny still seems a little nervous but I'm sure she will settle down soon!

Sounds like things are going well, Soapbox.

Good luck, Jura!

matnanplus · 27/04/2006 23:23

Sounds good Soapbox, how has week 2 been?

Jura, hope all is settling down.

soapbox · 27/04/2006 23:27

Well, I think it is working out really well. She is a delight and the children are very settled with her already.

When we get home from work they are usually all sitting at the table or on the floor, drawing together or colouring in or reading - so nice to come home to a lovely calm atmosphere and lovely calm children:)

There are a few little things to work out still on the housework side, but all very minor compared to making sure the children are happy and secure:)

Jura - how things going with you?
