Hi there, i've only been childminding since march and am finding it hard already with my accounts Sad.
I work different hours each week depending on parents shift patterns - one week it's 20.5 hrs, the next 34, the next 43.5 etc.
Does anyone know how I will work out the % i can claim for my heating, water, council tax etc...............I'm totally confused! Blush

Hi
I think I'd add the hours per month and divide by the number of weeks to get an average.

okay thanks for that frankie.

I don't want to sound stupid, but i've averaged them out at 32hrs per week, for this month, but still don't know how to work out percentage.

NCMA handbook gives percentages for 40 hrs, 35hrs, 30hrs, 25 hrs etc, and says to scale down for hours between these numbers - but i don't know how to scale down. Sad

How does everyone else do theirs?
