What would you suggest if client won't sign for anyone else (including ofsted approved assistant) to be left with their child incase of emergency?

that their child cant come to you.

Suppose you fell down the stairs... does she really expect that the ambulance people will wait till she gets there before they cart you off to hospital to see if you have broken your back?

Are they a first time parent? Maybe reassure them that it would not happen on a regular basis, perhaps give some examples of situations it has happened in, if indeed it has ever happened during your years of minding.
