In Norfolk I paid £2.50 / hour, in Kent it's usually £3 / hour.

If you go to the Childrens Information Service they can usuaqlly give you rates. I used to pay about 3 quid an hour, but that was about 2 years ago.

\link{http://www.childcarelink.gov.uk\look on here - childcare link website}

try this link and then click on your area \link{http://childcarelink.gov.uk/\here}
If you click on the map and work your way through to your area then you can pick a town near you. It shows a list of childminders and if you click on additional information they usually put their rates in there

I would expect cost to be somewhere around £3 to £4 per hour, per child. However, it's always hard to say, as every childminder will charge a different amount (childminders are afterall a business) and will vary on your precise childcare requirements.

As others have already mentioned, try looking at ChildcareLink - or \link{http://www.opportunity-links.org.uk/mapsearch.asp\Opportunity Links} (probably the same database). Contact Children's Information Service - If you are near Cambridge, then call 0845 0454014.
