DD1 and DD2 have been going to the same cm for 10 years. Now have ds1 & ds2 (18 months). DS2 was recently taken ill with meningitis whilst at cm and she was brill. I've always known she's great. We've bought her a bouquet of flowers to say thanks for how quick she got him into a&e but would really like to buy her something to show how much we appreciate her. Any cm got any ideas of what would be a nice present to get her? She was really shaken up by it & we just wanted to get her something - drs say she probably saved his life.

Well done to the childminder. How about a show to the theater or a trip to london something that she can remember, or does she like learning? Can you give her for example a baby massage course that she could add to her list of knowledge. (I love learning so this would be great for me but not for everyone) or a spa day and your children could write the invite to her.

I am so pleased that your CM was so vigilant that she was able to help your son when he really needed it.

I am sure your CM is just so relieved that your ds is going to be ok that she won't really care what you give her.

I think she would/might like a note thanking her for taking appropriate and speedy action.

When something unusual happens we like to know we did the right thing (ie the thing the parent would have wanted) and a little note may be reassuring

thanks for your ideas - maybe I'll go for the note & a spa voucher - she works really hard & would like to treat her.

I think that's lovely
