Hi everyone. Sneaking in quietly.
Some of you may remember me from last year - my nanny got married, pg straight away, difficult pregnancy, not happy in her marriage and we had a very stressful time.

Nanny decided not to return to work after ther Mat Leave but we kept in contact and she came every so often to babysit etc... She is still having difficulties and money is very tight so because I was still having childcare problems and she needed money we decided to give the arrangement a go with her baby coming to work and give it a two week trial.

Sadly it didn't work. Baby was extremely cross all the time so nanny was literally unable to carry out her duties which were minor enough - give kids lunch, help with homework, tidy their bedrooms and do some ironing. .Baby literally screamed all the time

We sat and had a chat yesterday and we mutually consented that it simply couldn't work. It wasn't fair on baby, on her, on my kids or myself - so when it wasn't fair all round we have called it a day. She knew after day 2 that she couldn't cope. My kids are all school going - 3 in all - ranging from 9 down to 5 - so quite independent in their own right.

Still feel sorry for this girl - she is still expected to send money home to her family to pay for her brother and sisters education. Her husband is less than nice to her. She is still going to do some babysitting and wants to do my ironing so that is ok with me.

So now I am without childcare once again but am applying for an au-pair as I guess that is all I really need now the kids are that bit older and I have a cleaner. Agency told me it could take up to 8 weeks to get somebody - will just have to muddle through and call on friends and family to help out till I get sorted.

Have advertised locally but have only had a couple of phonecalls. One lady was perfect but a bit too much out of my reach financially and another lady sounded ideal too but she would have to bring her two kids with her.

So thats it really - just wanted to pop in say "Hello".

Uwila - how are you doing -s orry I logged on to MSN so late the other evening - haven't been there for ages. Glad things are working out for you!

Tanzie - will catch you on MSN again!

Have a nice weekend everyone.

Mishmash, my au pair wants to work in Ireland, but it would have to be after we leave here - which might be August or might be January next year. She is fantastic. But it doesn't look like she would be any use to you!

Bloody police came round again yesterday looking for Evil Abscondee...

Thanks Tanz - a bit late for me.

Can't believe they are still looking for your lady!!! In fairness things weren't as bad as that here!!

How are the kids?
