Isn't it nice to be wanted Smile.

I have turned away 3 children in the last month cos I'm full (passed them on to cm friends of mine). It's not too long ago I was thinking I would never find any mindees then 4 came along all at once!!

Same here - must be something to do with the time of year??? (this is still my first year so I'm just presuming this is why as most of my new requests have been for babies)

But when you have a limited number of spaces how do you decide?

I've never had this many before

Who knows what will happen when my article comes out in the paper next week

Me too! I have a lady coming to se eme todya, I have NO SPACE but she wants to come and see me and go on my 'waiting list' and has asked how much the deposit is so that she can bring money with her! Thing is I don't think I am going to have a space till Jan 07!

Just go with who you like, parent and child wise!

HellyBelly · 27/03/2006 09:11

That's what I'd do too, I'd choose who I 'clicked' with iyswim. :)

LMG - how is your care assistant job going?

LoveMyGirls · 28/03/2006 08:20

going well thanks for asking its actually proving to me that i am good at looking after people (not that i thought i was bad at it just its making me realise im really good at it) if that makes sense, which is really good and has given my confidence a boost making me look forward to childminding even more. (i think i was lacking self confidence before and doubted my competance quite a few times, now i see that was silly) i hope im not sounding too big headed now! Also the money is helping loads esp with having to wait so long to get registered and i can work the hours i want, overall it was a good move so thanks again hun Grin

Oh thats great to hear. You seem confident to me so Im sure the cming will work for you aswell. Ive also started doing some twilight shifts until I start cming. Im enjoying adult conversation after being at home with my dd (6mths). So I might do half a week cming and one twilight a week nursing. I need to keep up my nursing skills aswell. Who knows?
