Slimmed down EYFS?

I have finally managed to 'reshuffle' my portfolio and put contents in different headings as per EYFS 2012
Did I find anything that could be thrown away?...absolutely not and found some of the headings could have been amalgamated such as Health and Safety of premises etc. for instance
Also the first heading is Child Protection (p13) followed by Suitable people (p14)....should the second not be the first and most important...if not suitable you cannot protect children?...just a thought.

Something tells me this revised EYFS will be revised again very soon !!!
I do feel for those who will get the first inspections in a week's time!

Hope I'm not one who gets the call for an inspection in September!! Was due in March and been waiting for it but September would be the worst month for me as the month is FULL of settling in sessions for new mindees, short sessions at school for ds2 and mindee in preparation for full days. I feel it would be unfair on a child setting in with me to have this stranger come in the house and take my attention away at times, especially as most of only coming for 2 hours at a time each.

I'm due my first graded inspection in Sept/Oct as I registered in April. Like looneytune I have lots of new little ones and settling in sessions. Not looking forward to the inspection at all!

I'm due an inspection. One of my new ones has just started and would be REALLY unhappy about a stranger coming in.

As to slimming down EYFS, I haven't really noticed that, it seems much the same as before.
