Hi there. Hope everyone is having a good summer with their mindees and own children. Its been pretty good so far, but I did go away for the first week of the summer hols.
Iam planning on buying some more garden toys but wanted to know what your children seem to like before I buy any thing,
I already have ride ons, sand and water tray, large enclosed trampolene, push along toys, battery powered car, and lots of balls.
The children I am minding are 1.5 years and 2 years,
Would love to know what works well in your settings - thanks.

As well as what you've got listed, my lot love chalk drawing (so a blackboard for outdoors if can afford or use jumbo chalks on the paving/path if got that). As well as a big trampoline, i have a toddler size one with a handle on which is good for the younger ones. Mine love pop up tents and pop up tunnel (we use indoors and out). I also have a little tikes cube thing (climbing frame/slide/little hiding place underneath) and this is used a lot. I also have a big outdoor plastic kitchen out there and a little plastic workbench thing (kitchen is more of a favourite). Oh, and they love a little paddling pool filled with ball pit balls :)

Oh and the younger ones like the painting on the easels :)

I'll second the chalk. Also bubbles and outdoor painting. Old sheets to make tents with. But mostly space to run around .

A bucket of water and two inch brushes 'painting' on the fence

Mine are heavily into making footprints and painting with water at the moment.

I can also highly recommend wheelbarrows and mud/dirt to dig in. As well as the sandpit, I mean.

Thanks for all your lovely ideas. Especially like the footprints idea Smile

I have an outside blackboard attatched to garden wall and they love chalking on as its so much bigger than the indoor one ... also i have guttering fixed to my fence which we let balls, cars, water etc run down which they also .enjoy using....agree with the 'painting' with water, always popular here.
