CYPW help again

I'm struggling with CYPOP 1.1.1 Explain the pattern of development in the first three years of life and the skills typically acquired at each stage.

I have already completed a 13 page essay on a child's development over the 5 areas for this:
CYP Core 3.1.1 Explain the sequence and rate of each aspect of development from birth ? 19 years.

I have asked my tutor and she has told me I need to include sensory information and that it's all in my workbook (so essentially: Fuck off and stop bothering me with this as you've already asked me and it's what I told you last time). But my workbook only copies and pastes the table on development from the Core 3.1.1 question and says that in the Core, we 'considered' the information, and now we have to explain the development, but I feel like I've already done that so have no fucking clue what I'm supposed to do. I've been trying to come up with an answer for this on and off for a month now and just can't work it out.

Anyone have any ideas on what I can say to differentiate between the two? I don't want to repeat myself again and am at a point of frustration where I just want to cry and make it disappear. It just seems like the exact same question reworded to me. Am I not right in thinking that the pattern of development is what comes in what order? Which is what the sequence of development is?

Google and silkysteps are not helping. They just refer me back to answering CYPOP 1.1.1 in the exact same manner I answered CYP Core 3.1.1

Any ideas?

I think you are over-thinking it and that it basically is the same question. I would copy and paste what you've already done up to the appropriate age and be done with it. I have just done the course and found it repetitive and poorly worded - not worth any wasting any agony over!

That was my thought too, but my tutor already knows about it, which is what puts me off copy and pasting. Not that I think she even read my essay, as she seemed to show no awareness to the fact it included each of the five areas when I first asked her about it and the second time she told me that it needed to include emotional and intellectual, which are both there...

Fair enough, it's 13 pages long, but I research well and hate doing things half-assed! Maybe I should though, I'm really behind thanks to a few life events getting in the way and have until Christmas to finish the entirety of Module three and the last of module two Hmm

And the repetitiveness is what gets me really, the constant repeating yourself and trying to understand what they want you to say! I wouldn't say I'm unintelligent but this course really makes me feel stupid sometimes because of the wording :(

i have to say, I really hated that course.

It is boring and repetative and you have to cover everything at least 3 times over all of the coursework.

Some how I finished it but now almost 12 weeks on, I am still waiting for my certificate to come through and my tutor keeps just telling me to give it more time. grrrrrr

confusedpixie · 20/08/2012 16:01

Xabian that does not sound great :( Who did you do it through if you don't mind me asking? I had to swap tutors due to moving and my original tutor was better at explaining what exactly they're looking for, this tutor doesn't seem interested what-so-ever. I asked for a break from the course and she said that was fine and gave me extensions on my work, only for me to find out three months later that technically the break never occured as I had extensions so I still have until December to finish the fucking course.

I'm finally at a place where I can do my homework with my bosses health back on track (I was working double my hours for over time between Feb and late June/early July) and my own health relatively back on track (The hours took it's toll on me and my existing medical problems!) and my tutor couldn't seem to care less about trying to help me get it over and done with and get out of her hair.

Saying that, when I was studying for my CCLD in 08 my tutor then was amazing, if I'd already done something that could fill criteria elsewhere she'd just fill it in, or if things were related she'd get me to add bits that would save me rewriting things later on. The entire CYPW system is so screwed over. My 'questions' are the marking criteria which I think is why everything is being repeated over and over again. If they set a task and them cross referenced all of the marking criteria it would take half of the sodding time and save the tutors reading the same content repeatedly and us from writing it Angry
