Today was my day off, but I agreed to look after a child on a one off basis because normal childminder was on holiday. She wanted me to do 8.30 - 6, then the night before said she would be early as work was crazy, which I said was fine. She arrived to pick up her child half an hour early. Then asked me for a refund on the half hour. Did I mention it was my day off? heehee.

Hope you had a lovely day off Grin (she wouldn't get a refund from me)

its just so cheeky! i look after a child ive never met before from 8 o clock, and then because the Mum decides to pick up ever so slightly early, she wants 2 quid back.... I've just sacrificed my day off to work for less than 4 quid an hour as a favour- and you want money back from me! youve got to laugh really or youd cry! As it was, by the time she finally left because she has verbal diaorrhea, it is the time she was meant to pick up anyway! I said no to the refund of course, and will be swerving any future work from her, which is a shame as the baby was gorgeous.
