About 2 weeks ago I was offered 2 jobs which both had pros and cons. It was a really difficult choice but I went with one but think I've made the wrong choice. I suppose even though the other job is still around I need to just knuckle down and get on with it.

2 week itch? I find that 2 weeks into a job it suddenly becomes clear what bits are not working well. Have a meeting with your boss to iron out any teething troubles.
Your boss has put a lot of effort into recruiting you so the last thing they want is for you to leave. Both sides will be feeling that some things are working well and other things not so well- so have a chat about it.

I don't its the job I think it might be me. I have been in childcare for years and years. The last job I would have stayed until my degree has finished but unfortunately the economic climate didn't allow that. Emotionally I and my kids were very sad for me to go. But on the other hand I have realised my degree and future career is my focus but I need to work in the meantime (another 2 years) which is what they need. Its good for me and them. But I feel very focused on the academic side of my life and a bit disassociated with the rest. The other job was far more housekeeping but just longer hours. Perhaps it would have been fairer to have taken that job. The kids are lovely as are the family in my current job
