Hi all, hope i'm in the right place! Basocally dd2 (4) has been at day nursery since April 2010 when she was 2. After a very shaky start she now loves it, fast forward to August last year when she started to get her funded sessions.I only work a 4 day week so i decided to put her in a proper nursery on this day...moving onto April this year...our local council decided that although you can split your funded sessions between 2 places, new guidelines state at least 2 with one provider/3 with another iykwim. So i added another day to the new nursery which she loves, and got her a place with a lovely CM who has her own kids as well. So now we're in August basically and dd turned round today and said she doesn't like it at the CM! To be fair she was sent home ill last week, i had been at work for an hr and had to come back for her...so any advice? Do i persevere with CM or do i just have everything at the day nursery - currently its 3 days at day nursery, 2 at proper nursery with 1 of those days CM has her before and afteewards

So she's been with this CM since April and she's just now said the once that she doesn't like it there? It would be very harsh to end your contract with the CM on this basis I feel. Give it more time and if she keeps saying she doesn't like it there try and find out a bit more about why. Could it just be that she enjoyed her extra time with you when she was sent home? If the CM has extra children in the holidays she might also find that difficult - too noisy/less attention. Could even simply be that she got told off for something!

It may be that the CM was just one childcare setting too many-3 different childcare settings during one week for a child is a lot.She may just find it too tiring.

ling she is on occasion reluctant to go. There are actually less children there now, sometimes only my daughter and CM kids.

lisa1968 thats what I have been thinking...
