I thought it would be sweet to read about what the children do and say as in the things that make us go aww or laugh.

A little girl that is with us has been away for a week. She normally is quiet when she returns from being on a break from us. She came in and told me all about going to the doctors, a dress mummy got her and her very clear yes with the s on the end instead of yeah. Posh sounding :)

I mistakenly used a term of endearment to my little mindee , aged just turned two. Conversation went like this:

"Come on Squiglet, let's find your shoes"
"Me no Squiglet, Me "name"!"

At which point I apologised!

A boy my mother worked with when she was pregnant pointed at her and said - loudly - "Why is that lady so FAT?" to his minder.
She replied with "Because she has a baby in her belly" to which he exclaimed, in an awed voice, "Really? Did she eat it?"

One of my mindees told me at lunch time "I can't sit up straight I have a big bum" :)

One of mine once said 'how did you get a bee in your bottom' when my ds1 had been ill with a D bug Grin
