There are various au pair agencies online. Look at great aupairs or google to find some others?

I have always used the website aupair world www.aupair-world.net. It has lots of au pairs on from round the world (EU is easiest as they have a right to work here). Has always worked for me and the website are very proactive at sending you details of au pairs who may suit you. Obviously its down to you to email and Skype your shortlist, ask for any additional information you require and make sure that you are happy with your selected au pair.

I am a biologist and an Italian-English translator. I?m looking for a good au pair family to stay near London for a full immersion British English language period. I am good with children, elders and some housecleaning. I?d appreciate your help and any suggestions. Thanks a lot :)

@1desperatehousewife, have you tried aupairworld? All my au pairs came from there ( on my third one now). There are loads of young girls looking for host families in England.

It does take time and effort to narrow down to who you think suits your family best.

Our current au pair arrived from Germany last week and so far so good.

I just wanted to say hello as I live in Woking, Surrey. I am a nanny though so of no use but maybe if you are in need of babysitting or ad hoc care. I have a little boy who turns 1 in a week.

Good Luck with your au pair search :-)
