Reference for my Childminder

Dear All,
I have a truly fabulous childminder who we have unfortunately had to give notice to due to moving away for hubby's work. I want to write an open reference for her to use when we have gone. I wondered what areas childminders would want covered in a reference. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks x

How your child settled in. How your minder supported your family and anything else lovely you can think of to say.

Your minder will be very happy.

I'm a nanny-soon to be childminder and have had references from previous employers so hope I can help:

You should just be open and honest about the care your child has received and also how happy you have been with your childminder's service - if she's been reliable and flexible, professional etc. Also if you would recommend her to friends or potential clients and if you would use her again. You could include how long your child attended her setting and how she's developed.
If she has a welcoming, safe and secure environment etc. Not going into too much detail but just try and cover the basics. I'm sure a more professional and experienced childminder will be along with better/more specific suggestions.

Agree with the others. If it helps, here's my page of references so you can see the different ways they were written, might help?

That is all amazingly helpful thank you. I just want to ensure that I give her a thorough and glowing reference that she deserves.
