Does anyone know what the range is for this for 7am-7pm 5/7 days a week?

Totally depends what qualifications and experience you want. The range is probably £300-600 gross. Possibly more for an exceptionally experienced or highly qualified candidate, possibly less for a very newly qualified and inexperienced nanny.

I live in Zone 6, work Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 7:30 and I earn £480 gross a week, which works out at £375 net. Hope that helps.

MrAnchovy · 16/06/2012 10:13

Where would they live the other 2/7 days?

Victoria2002 · 16/06/2012 10:33

What Frakiosourus said. I'd say London standard is £350 net per week live-in for a qualified experienced Nanny working 7-7 5 days a week.

tiggersreturn · 16/06/2012 23:57

Thanks.

They'd live with us at the w/end just not work.

What exactly do you mean by 5/7? That the nanny would only live with you 5 days out of 7? If yes, then I personally would not consider a typical "live-in" salary. I would still need to rent a room/flat for the weekend and unfortunately it is not so easy to find something for weekends only. Plus what would the nanny do when she is on holiday etc.?

CharlieCoCo · 17/06/2012 15:40

but tiggersreturn has said they will still live there on the weekend, so i don't understand born to shop...post

on top of the wage, u have to take into account other little add-ons like food and stuff.

Sorry Charlie, I didn't read tiggersreturn last post.

My neighbour in zone 1 pays 350 net to live in nanny for 7-7 and 2 evenings babysitting per week. However she took the mick IMO and nanny walked out. She now has a new nanny who has a lot less experience on the same salary.
