Hi everyone,

i work mon-thur and we need care for our boys from 7.30am-6pm mon-thur.

we have a nanny but feel she is too young and not doing what we expect (despite repeated 'chats' etc)

we had one fab aupair and one nightmare one.

cna any suggest what they think would be best? and how much we should look to pay?

thanks

carly xx

I think my first preference would be a live out nanny for 4 days a week. But, if you want to keep the cost down, a live-in (possibly from an ascension country if you'd like to introduce another culture/language to your household) would be cheaper. A live-in also allows you to get to know her a bit through informal chats on the weekend. I insist on a live-in for this reason.

I think they are a bit young, but in a year or two you could probably drop down to an au-pair who would do the school/chilminder run. And she could do some cleaning/errands/ironing during the day. Maybe prepare dinner for you?

Where are you? Cost will vary depending on this.

WE ARE IN SHEERING WHICH IS ON THE ENRTS/ESSEX BORDERS.

our first aupair was fab, still keep in touch. 2nd had to go! and now nanny been with ud since oct but not as i woul like her to be.

maybe we can look at aupair route again.

thanks
