I'm so happy that I survived my first half term with school age kids (my own ds is under 3 so I haven't had much experience with older ones and was worried) and they had a great week.

But I was thinking, surely I'm not the only one who thinks 'how shall I fill that hour on thurs?' I was wondering how everyone felt about brainstorming they're ideas for under 5s and over 5s? Just a nice list we can all use as a resource if we're stumped one day!

I was also wondering how people felt about doing similar for meals? I know a lot of new CMs worry about feeding mindees, and my lunches aren't always that creative!

I have loads of multicultural posters that I would like to share - I have printed them and laminated for my walls. Is anyone interested in them? If so, would you like me to send to your email RTK

RTKangaMummy · 21/02/2006 20:43

Tan1959 - Do you get much use out of your laminator? I've ben tinking of getting one are they worth having?

Anyone else have one?

RTKangaMummy · 21/02/2006 21:02

I have got one and it is addictive you strart doing everything

HellyBelly · 21/02/2006 21:26

I have one too and love it! Don't use it so much these days as have no posters or room to put anymore up but still handy for all sorts including photo's etc. Actually, it's cool for saying Art Work that's special or you can even laminate a picture/painting etc. and use as a mat for meal times

HellyBelly · 21/02/2006 21:27

saving not saying!

Jensmum · 21/02/2006 21:35

i can recommend a brill (cheap) accountant who does cm accounts and tax returns. do you want to put her details on the site. she can answer most queries to. sorry about the spelling, i know its bad.

Tan1959 · 23/02/2006 20:48

Getting back to my laminator, the children have also helped me cut out the multicultural posters (when you see the posters on the new website, you will see how appealing they are to children), then I laminated & children stick them on lolli sticks to use as puppets - this helps them to learn about each of the countries that the posters represent and their traditional outfits! they love them.

Jensmum · 24/02/2006 13:46

If I buy an A4 laminator can I laminate smaller size pictures?

Katymac · 24/02/2006 13:47

Yep

Jensmum · 24/02/2006 14:05

good, I've just got one from ebay.
