This is so pathetic

I've gone round telling everyone that I got outstanding in my Ofsted. Everyone said Oh OK - I was so excited and expected everyone to be really pleased for me. But everyone expected me to get Outstanding - so weren't surprised when I did.

I'm a bit concerned about this - what would have happened if I hadn't got outstanding? Would they have been disappointed?

I am probably got worked up over nothing but I am a bit concerned that they all have such high expectations of me - and a little worried that I have lead them to believe I'm fantastic....when I'm only a little fantastic

Do you see what I mean?

but you did get outstanding! So, it doesn't matter

Congrats BTW

But do they all have an unrealistic view/expetation of me?

Am I so boastful/self important that I let everyone believe I'm special?

Thanks Alibubbles - do you remember when I first started - I was so unsure and tentative.....now I'm a bossy old cow

Apparently I may have to go in the NCMA magazine - they have a list of people with Outstanding

I suppose it is a shock how other people view me

I thought I was a bit paranoid and flakey and not very good at finishing things - but people obviously see me differently

I too got an outstanding and had exactly the same experiences and feel exactly the same way. Glad its not just me.

Katymac · 20/02/2006 08:22

Are I/we anal and self obsessed....do we really have a warped view of ourselves?

I didn't expect to get Outstanding - but everyone else obviously did - I just don't understand why

hang on

if they demonstrated surprise at you getting outstanding wouldn't you be even more hurt because that intimates that the parents thought you were less than outstanding .. and it is far more important what the parents think of you than some beurocratic ofsted woman with her clipboard on a one-off visit

you are being a total girl .. stop it

Katymac · 20/02/2006 09:28

No it was my parents/family/cochildminders etc
Rather than the parents
