Good afternoon

I know some cm's don't have parents as friends on facebook, visa versa

Do you have other cms as friends on facebook. Got a request but I do not want to mix my private life and my work life. Nothing wrong with the people requesting but dont want to mix the two.

Has anyone got a facebook set up for parents and other cms?

If I refuse the request will they know I have?

Those who have parents as friends, do you find it easy to bring up and deal with any issues you may have. ie lateness etc.

We all have our own private lifes outside of cm.

This is interesting!! I was approached by Email via a nanny website about a job,two weeks ago. I sent my CV and she replied giving a link to her Facebook page, and said she would be in touch shortly. However I haven't heard anything since, and am now wondering if she wanted to check me out on Facebook before the interview ...

I have teacher friends at senior school who will only add pupils 6 months after they have left. I would not want my boss on my fb, though the deputy manager is on there, she is such a close friend anyway. I would not post anything inapropriate anyway, confidentiality is a major part of my job. I am a carer in a residential home for the elderly.
Only you can decide what you are comfortable with.
