Hi there I am a registered childminder, we are considering a move to Wales but I am aware that the registering process is different from here in England, how would I register for Wales? Also I am debating going out to work I have good Childcare qualifications where can I find Childcare jobs?

I am a registered childminder in Wales but I'm not sure what the process would be for someone moving here. Starting from scratch I had to do a Childcare in the Home course, pass a multiple choice test, fill out a very lengthy application form and then be visited by a CSSIW Inspector (Welsh Social Services, we don't have Ofsted here). I would have thought you won't need to do the course?? Think the best thing to do would be ring the NCMA contact in the area of Wales you are moving to and ask for their advice. Or even ring CSSIW direct, they may be able to help.

Can't help with the Childcare jobs I'm afraid.
