Ofsted Invoice - CM Help!

I'm coming up to being registered for 1 year so I know my fee is due. I called Ofsted a month ago to see if an invoice is being sent and get told one will be generated and issued.

Recieved nothing, been really busy so forgot to chase it up until this morning. Call back today and get yes your fee is due in 3 days. I say I've not had the invoice and the woman says oh it's been generated, oh yeah it's not been sent out. Would you like a copy?

Hmmm, lets see, this is my job which if I'm not registered I don't have any more. WHAT DO YOU THINK. Argh!

So, if the invoice doesn't arrive by 29th does this affect my registration? The lady on the phone wasn't sure.

I'd really appreciate your help.

Hi glenthebattleostrich.

I would call them and ask them how much it is. I would pay via the phone there and then.

Mine came the other date, payment due on 9 May. I sent it off via post on 24 April.

Please do not panic. It may have been held up in the post. Have you checked your address with Ofsted in case an error has been made.

It can seem overwhelming at times, but it will be fine.

any other suggesitons to help anyone?

Also ask for a receipt for your accounts.

Hope that helps Smile

Welcome to childminding.

Didn't realise I could do it over the phone, thanks for that. I already have a pretty low opinion of Ofsted, they are rubbish!

Thanks for your help :)

I believe you can also set up a standing order so that it happens automatically every year.

glenthebattleostrich. How are you today? Are you fine with all other paperwork etc. I know it can at times be very daunting when you first start out. Still learning myself.

I tend to look at how things are done then put my own style to things without leaving out the important details ie my forms etc.

Let us know how you got on. have a lovely day too!
